Cabinet Between Studs

One wall of my shop is an unfinished stud wall. After doing some cleaning and purging I cleared up a stud bay near the door into my shop. I decided to build a small storage cabinet there, which would fit in-between the studs.

Building into the studs means that the cabinet does not stick out as much into the room, and I need all the space I can get.

My goal was to build with reused lumber and/or other supplies that I already had in my shop. I was even going to try veneering the panel for the door... that did not go well, so instead I resawed a mildly figured piece of white oak. And when I opened it up for bookmatching I found a face in the grain!

You might think I'm bonkers, but I saw two eyes and a huge beak which made me think of a Pterodactyl, so that's what I called it for the rest of the video.

As usual I talk through the whole build and try to explain all the different techniques that I am using to build this project.
